This diverse program consists of programs such as higher education law, strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, community relations, enrollment management and effective leadership styles.

Apply nowGraduates with this degree will be able to work in a wide array of career avenues such as:

  • Mid-level and senior positions at colleges and universities
  • State higher education agencies
  • Regional accrediting agencies
  • Non-governmental organizations

Along with this new degree, the college has also added two new graduate level certificates of advanced study. Theses certificates are meant to supplement the MSED.

Events around town: What to do in February

The new year is coming into full swing, love is in the air with Valentine’s Day, and there are a few events to look out for in the upcoming month. My personal pick for the month would be Green Day’s American Idiot play (I’ve been wanting to see it for years). There are plenty of other happenings in the area, so don’t let the coldest month of the year get you down!

Parking at Saint Rose

Albany can be a very crowded city. It seems the most crowded when it’s 6:10pm, you can’t find a parking spot on the street, and class starts in 5 minutes. It can get frustrating. Saint Rose has space to park your car so you can make it to class on-time without all the added stress.

Saint Rose offers commuter parking permits for $50 and they run from September through August. Even though it’s the Spring semester, permits are still available. Unfortunately, they won’t carry over to the fall semester (only through the summer semesters), but it will make parking in the snow a much simper task. The parking lots will always be plowed and Saint Rose parking tickets cost about the same amount as the permits. Failure to pay Saint Rose parking tickets will lead to a hold on your student account, stopping you from registering for classes, graduating, etc. Purchasing a parking pass can help you avoid these inconveniences.

Alternatively, if you live near a bus stop, hop on the CDTA. Students are entitled to free rides on the CDTA with the use of their Saint Rose ID card.

Parking permits can be purchased online or in-person at the Saint Rose Security Office on the corner of Partridge Ave. and Western Ave. For more information, call the Security Office at (518) 454-5187.
